Maple syrup is made from the sap of the Canadian maple tree. A 100% natural, gluten-free and vegan product, without chemical additives, preservatives or artificial colors.

Maple syrup production is an activity close to nature. Here, the CEO of BRIX, Mario Plouffe, prepares the tapping of the sap from one of his sugar maple trees. The tapping period, which is as short as 20 days, starts when the temperature conditions in the spring are just right, i.e. frost at night and heat during the day. Then it starts to move inside the maple trees and the sap flows by itself, via the plastic hoses that are attached to the trees, to a collection house, so-called sugar schack. Where the finished maple syrup product is then obtained by heating the maple sap to exactly 103.5°C.

The unique thing about BRIX is that the maple syrup is packaged in a way that makes it easily available during physical activity, in connection with sports or outdoor activities. The product is also adapted to fit this type of activity, through the addition of salt. Before sale, it is finally flavored with various natural fruit juice concentrates.
